Jardim a Mar restaurant is not only a favorite among our own guests. In Agonda our cooks are locally known for their excellent seafood and tandoori dishes. Longtime stayers and Jardim a Mar aficionados are loyal followers of our kitchen crew and keep coming back for our Bombay Potatoes, Stuffed Chapatti and anything Freedom fried … even after six years on our menu.
We offer a variety of fresh healthy Indian and Nepali specialties all of them prepared fresh to order in our kitchen. Since the ocean is right in front of us, you won’t be surprised to hear we have the best connection to fresh fish and seafood, which we buy daily from our local fishermen. Every night our chefs prepare the catch of the day on our barbeque or in our tandoori oven. Don’t worry if you don’t like your food spicy, we have a good choice of continental dishes available too, like our legendary Club Sandwich or Spaghetti Pesto with roasted Cashews. we do offer a wide range of veggie dishes which are not only a favorite among Yogis. Even dedicated meat lovers enjoy our vegetarian meals.
For breakfast we serve homemade yoghurt and jam, and pride ourselves with our organic Himalaya-Muesli. Our bar offers fresh tropical fruit juices, our legendary homemade lemonades, shakes and lassies. We use organic local teas and coffee for our Indian tea specialties and European coffees such as cafe latte and cappuccino. We offer a choice of beers, cocktails and local wines, even an Indian Champagne which is actually quite good.
